Responsible Authorities

The launch of the BIIAB Level 2 Award in Assessment for Licensed Practitioners (Social Responsibilities) adds an important new opportunity to our series of relevant courses specifically designed to meet Responsible Authorities' needs.

A requirement is that they understand the intricacies of the Act.

The BIIAB Level 2 National Certificate for Licensing Practitioners

NCLP ensures that those involved in the review and approval of personal and premises licences are aware of their rĂ´les and responsibilities under the Licensing Act 2003, and the associated guidance and regulations. It can demonstrate due diligence in a court of law

The qualification is designed for local authority licensing officers, other staff, such as police, fire and environmental health officers and those members involved in the administration of the Licensing Act 2003.

The BIIAB National Certificate for Licensees (Drug Awareness)

NCL(DA) This qualification is designed for premises licence holders and managers of licensed premises in England and Wales. It provides basic knowledge and understanding of the law relating to the misuse and supply of controlled drugs on licensed premises. It offers operational guidelines to help deal effectively with and prevent any drug related problems in their premises.

BIIAB Level 2 Award in Assessment for Licensed Practitioners (Social Responsibilities)

The BIIAB AALP(SR) has been developed in conjunction with Best Bar None. (More than 60 towns and cities have adopted the BBN campaign since it was piloted in Manchester in 2003)

Designed to be delivered over two days, the AALP(SR) covers three key subject areas: Principles of Assessment, Legislative Requirements of Licensed Premises and Assessing Recognised Award Schemes

The aim is to provide a universal hallmark of predetermined quality of the assessment approach to recognised award schemes across the country. The AALP(SR) is designed for prospective, recognised award scheme assessors from police forces, local authorities, Trading Standards and the Fire Service.
